The light in my room keeps going out. Maybe it’s keeping me from getting too comfortable here in my room.

My ceilings are pretty high. No (chair) + (person available) sum to reach the light bulb. Solution: me plus one, have to move the bulky dinning room table down the narrow hallway, flip it around and then on its side to get it around the corner and then into my room. This has been done 3 times. After each time, the table must be moved back to the dining room in the reverse order or else there is no walking space in my room.

The first time the table was moved was to identify what kind of bulb was needed.  The second table move was to install the new bulb. For some reason it didn’t turn on and we didn’t have time to fix it, so we moved the table back out. The third table move was to fiddle with the light more to get it to turn on. 2 days ago, the other bulb went out.

Skyping with Aleta the other night, we talked about the dangers of getting too comfortable in one place and how it stops growth.

I’m into my third week in Kaohsiung, and can feel myself getting comfortable. I need to keep moving. Today I researched church, looked up some phone numbers for hospitals to volunteer at, looked up some tours to do, did some lesson planning, and went shopping. My clothes are getting beat up because they get sweaty every time I walk out the door -> I’m doing laundry at least once a week, and the washing machine does not play.

Looking forward to the up and coming. Time for a new light.

Also, happy birthday to Ms. Anna Chiang who always know how to keep it positive.
